Coast Guard Medevacs Seaman Off Cold Bay

On February 26, 2014, a Coast Guard helicopter crew out of Kodiak, Alaska, medevaced a seaman with a serious hand injury off the processing vessel Ocean Phoenix about 85 miles out of Cold Bay, Alaska. The Coast Guard reports that the seaman was first taken into Cold Bay, where he was then medevaced to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.
